On the mound: RHP Taijuan Walker made his final Cactus League appearance on Saturday and was charged with six runs, three of them earned, in 4 2/3 innings at Tempe Diablo Stadium. Walker, who will get one more tune-up during an exhibition series against the Indians at Chase Field, was rocked for four runs in a first inning that included a two-run home run by Albert Pujols. After retiring the side in order in the second and third, Walker allowed another two-run homer in the fourth, this one to catcher Carlos Perez. “Mechanically, I was kind out of whack in that first inning, and then after that, I kind of got back into it,” said Walker, who allowed eight hits with no walks and three strikeouts. “It’s going to be something I’m going to work on this week just to get back into sync. My mechanics have been off just a little bit the last two games, so it’s going to be something we hammer. I’ve still got a week left of spring training, so that’s good.” RHP Fernando Rodney threw a 1-2-3 sixth inning against the bottom of the Angels’ lineup. RHP Silvino Bracho, pitching for the first time since March 2 and returning from a pulled hamstring, retired the side in the eighth.

At the plate: 1B Paul Goldschmidt ripped a double in his second game back from the World Baseball Classic. C Chris Iannetta tripled and scored a run and also singled. SS Nick Ahmed also tripled. Manager Torey Lovullo said CF A.J. Pollock, who returned to Cactus League play on Friday after sitting out 12 days to rest tightness in his groin, went through his first game back with no issues. He also said Pollock is eager to ramp up his progression to get ready for the season opener on April 2. Pollock went 0 for 3 with a strikeout on Saturday. Minor-league INF Marty Herum hit a three-run homer in the ninth.

Extra bases: 3B Jake Lamb was charged with two errors, a throwing miscue and a fielding glitch. Angels manager Mike Scioscia was ejected in the third inning for arguing with home plate umpire Mike Cascioppo. During an “in-camp” game on Friday with and against minor leaguers, LHP Patrick Corbin pitched six scoreless innings and struck out eight batters. He threw 70 pitches.

Sunday’s game: Diamondbacks LHP Robbie Ray vs. Indians RHP Trevor Bauer, 1:10 p.m., Salt River Fields.
